GCLETE members convened a meeting between the Rutgers Miller Center on Policing and Community Resilience and INTERPOL in Washington, DC. We discussed several initiatives relating to international law enforcement and security, including: creating a curriculum for police on battling hate, intolerance, and other malevolent factors that lead to genocide; and developing training for law enforcement in HR matters, including human capital management, recruiting, PTSD, DE&I, and community relations.
Participating in the meeting was INTERPOL Deputy Director Marc Zimmermann, Deputy Chief of Staff Kevin Kopiasz, Executive Officer for Operations Jonathan H. Lewin, Metropolitan DC Police Chief of Staff Marvin Haiman, Miller Center Senior Fellow and GCLETE Board Member Mark Genatempo, and GCLETE Board Member Michael Gips.
